I am a freelance writer and sometime poet who lives on the island of Rab in Croatia. Why Croatia? My husband and I have ties here going back generations—his are here on Rab and near Sinj, mine are in the mountains of Gorski Kotar—and our children are now connected to this place after many years of visiting.

Before moving here, I was a busy professional in the Washington, DC, area with wonderful jobs in multimedia, eLearning, marketing, communications, web and information design, UX/UI, business development, and program development. I dabbled in a lot of arenas, raised a lot of money for important projects, and even wrote a book.

Now, I am settling back into my first love—writing—and getting involved with local projects that support the environment and animal welfare.
